Just as you’re so quick to ask, “Who is Brandy Rich?” You’ll be wondering, “Why haven’t I heard of her sooner?” Brandy has just independently released her first CD titled “I’ll Take My Chances.” What does Brandy Rich sound like? Combine Alanis Morissette, Linkin Park, and Avril Lavigne and you’ll be pretty close.

At such a young age, Brandy Rich has accomplished a lot! At the age of 14 Brandy wrote and recorded her first song titled, “We Rise” which pays tribute to 911 (available free online at www.brandyrich.com/werise.htm). Shortly after 911 she was invited by the American Red Cross to perform “We Rise” at several functions including a Memorial Day Tribute in Nashville,TN in front of thousands of Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters.

Since then, Brandy has participated at the SEAPP tour in Los Angeles, CA. She performed for over 3000 kids, (past participants of the SEAPP tour include artists such Prince, Janet Jackson, Boyz To Men, Kriss Kross, Brandy Norwood and Tyreece) the 2003 Kids Expo in Albany, GA, the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, GA (where she was 1 of 200 artists selected out of over 2300 applicants), and most recently, Brandy has been performing and signing autographs at various FYE music stores.

Within the last week, Brandy was sought after by “Star Search,” but due to her tight schedule and previous commitments, she was unable to attend the first round of competition.

Brandy is currently being played mostly on College and AAA radio stations (non-commercial radio stations). She has reached the number #1 spot on WHRC in Haverford, PA, and the #2 spot on WCVM in Morrisville, NY. She is quickly climbing the charts on KBHU in Spearfish, SD, where she entered the charts at #23 and jumped 9 spots in one week to #14. Brandy will be added on many more stations. Check on her website www.brandyrich.com for recent ads which will include the name of the radio stations and their phone numbers.

Already a few commercial radio stations have picked her up. In Albany, GA, they are WNVQ 101.7 (Q-101) and WRAK 97.3. In Valdosta, GA, WQPW 95.7 (Mix 96).

Just in the past month, FYE music store (over 1300 locations throughout the U.S.) has added Brandy’s CD to their catalog. Her debut single, “I’ll Be Allright” will be included in an FYE / Transworld compilation CD which will be available and playing during the month of December at all FYE stores throughout the U.S. Order your copy of Brandy’s CD through her website or at an FYE store near you.

Brandy’s next performance will be in Albany, NY, at the Transworld Headquarters. She is scheduled for sometime in mid January. Please check her website in the near future for date and time.

Between going to school, maintaining honor roll, writing songs, and scheduling appearances, this 17 year old has managed to get out over 4000 CD’s without any help and on a limited budget. With financial backing or support from a Major Record Label, Brandy will be a huge success very fast! Without any backing or support, Brandy will still become a Huge Star! It will just take longer, but will definitely be just a “Matter of Time.” Her music speaks for itself.
