BOY CULTURE wins Outfest Award for Outstanding Screenwriting

Author Matthew Rettenmund presented a tenth-anniversary reading from his best-selling novel, Boy Culture (St. Martin’s Press), at A Different Light Bookstore in West Hollywood. Boy Culture is now a major motion picture and premiered at Awards Night, last Sunday at the Ford Amphitheatre at part of Outfest – The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

After winning the OUTFEST Award for Outstanding Screenwriting to Q. Allan Brocka and Philip Pierce for BOY CULTURE the films co-writer/Director Brocka (left) was congratulated by Director Bryan Singer (Superman, X-Men). Boy Culture is eyeing a 2007 national theatrical release.
