CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLE TRENDS: 2013 GOLDEN GLOBES HOTTEST LOOKS!

Romance has finally returned to the Red Carpet and was very present during the 2013 Golden Globes arrivals. Jessica Chastain was a total knock out this year with a very retro inspired old Hollywood glam hairstyle. Not only was the style beautiful but the color was absolutely perfect and worked very well with this siren hairstyle.

This year’s hottest look at the Globes was a very familiar old Hollywood glamour look, a side swept Veronica Lake romantic soft curl was all the rage on the carpet. Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Megan Fox, and Jessica Alba were among the few ladies that took to the red carpet in this very similar and obviously trending look. 

Achieving a similar look can be easy

Your tools:

Large barrel curl iron

Soft hold workable hairspray

Rat tail comb

Smoothing serum

Choose which side you want to part your hair on using the rat tail comb for that perfect line parting, then start to curl the hair  in larger sections and in the direction of your face with a wider barrel curl iron and spray each section after it has been curled while still warm. The main secret here is not brush the waves out with a brush, instead using a little dab of smoothing serum in your palms stroke the hair  in a circular motion toward the face as if you were caressing it.  This will marry each section together and loosen the curl without taking it out, creating that soft shiny side swept wave. Feel free to spray the hair one last time to secure its hold.

Last but not least it was very refreshing to see Sofia Vergara and Marion Cotillard change up their usual styles and go for more sleek polished straight long hair. There was not one bit of imperfection in their hairstyles and with the simple use of a flat iron and shine serum they managed to pull the look off looking very glamorous.
