Christine McVie from Fleetwood Mac Fame – New Album “In The Meantime” Is Out September 7th

By  |

“Friend” (the premiere single from Christine McVie’s forthcoming album “In The Meantime”) has officially been declared the #1 most added song at Triple A radio by Radio & Records (R&R) beating out stalwart acts like John Fogerty, Lenny Kravitz, k.d. Lang and Crosby & Nash.

The song was most added everywhere, including Triple A heavies KBCO (Denver), KINK (Portland), WXRV (Boston) and WRLT (Nashville). KINK Program Director Dennis Constantine says, “Christine McVie’s ‘Friend’ brings back fond memories of her soulful contributions to Fleetwood Mac like ‘Say You Love Me’ and ‘Don’t Stop.’ It’s great to hear Christine’s voice on the radio again!”

Christine’s new album, “In The Meantime,” will be released on September 7th on KOCH Records (in partnership with Adventures in Music). This is Christine’s first official solo outing since the release of her self-titled album in 1984. The new album can be previewed now in its entirety at www.christinemcvie.com

The European press community has already started heaping praise on the forthcoming release as evidenced by a recent MOJO review that states: “Just so we know she means business, McVie leaves no doubt that she’s shut the door on her past. The songs cackle with ire, indignation and with none of the frothy self-deception of the past.”

For over thirty years, Christine McVie was a pivotal member of Fleetwood Mac and the creative force behind some of the band’s biggest hits including “Don’t Stop,” “Little Lies,” and “You Make Lovin’ Fun.” Her velvety, instantly recognizable voice played a huge part in the band’s worldwide success. By 1998, at the time of Christine’s departure from the ‘Mac,’ the group had sold over 55 million records worldwide.

Sonically, “In The Meantime” is a return to that classic McVie sound and production that fans have come to love over the years.
