‘L Word’ Castmembers Part of Musical Romp in LA

By  |

Fans of “The L Word” can see four of the actors from that landmark series in the feature film “GIRLTRASH: All Night Long,” in a private fundraising screening May 22 followed by public screenings, beginning in San Diego May 31.

Rose Rollins, Kate French, Clementine Ford and Malaya Rivera Drew are all “L Word” alums who appear in the musical adventure that takes place over one long, nerve-racking night on some of the seedier streets of LA.

Written and co-produced by Angela Robinson (“True Blood,” “Hung”) and directed by Robinson’s partner, Alex Kondrake, the film is based on the Web series created by Robinson and stars Lisa Rieffel, Michelle Lombardo, Gabrielle Christian and Mandy Musgrave. Rieffel also co-wrote the music with husband and bandmate Johnny Dunn and performs with their band, Killola, in the film.

Thursday’s screening: The Art Theatre in Long Beach, at 8 p.m.
The private screenings include general and VIP seating, an after party featuring GIRLTRASH music, merchandise giveaways and more.
The West Coast World Premiere takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at FilmOut San Diego Film Festival, North Park Theatre, 2891 University Ave. San Diego.
The East Coast Premiere will be May 31 at OutFilm Connecticut.
