The FIXX Showcases After-Concert CDs

By  |

After a very successful engagement with The FIXX on July 10th, 2005, at the Taste of Dallas, DiscLive, the live recording unit of Immediatek, Inc., announced that it will be recording and manufacturing custom, individually numbered CD sets for The FIXX on a string of dates on their North American tour.

According to Zach Bair, CEO and Chairman of Immediatek and DiscLive, the company will be recording starting with the August 4th performance in Sacramento, CA, and will continue through the band’s show at Taste of Edmonds, in Edmonds, WA, on August 13th.

Jerry Blair, manager for The FIXX and co-founder of Fuerte Group, said, “DiscLive is a perfect partner for The FIXX. The product is an incredible collectible for the fans, and an opportunity to give the fans the big hits along with previously unrecorded live material. The response has been phenomenal!”

The signature sound of The FIXX is instantly recognizable. Songs like “One Thing Leads To Another” and “Saved By Zero” remain staples not just with ’80s radio stations, but on modern rock formats that have helped break such new wave-inspired acts as Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. The FIXX, with its original lineup of lead vocalist Cy Curnin, Jamie West-Oram on lead guitar, Rupert Greenall on keyboards and drummer Adam Woods still intact, hooked up with respected bass guitarist Gary Tibbs (Adam & The Ants, Roxy Music) at the end of 2001, rounding out the band’s current incarnation.

The full schedule of The FIXX performances available for pre-sale may be found at www.disclive.com.
