The Motels and The Emotions to Rock LA Pride in West Hollywood

Christopher Street West has lined up three hot shows on the Wells Fargo Main Stage for the 34th Annual Los Angeles Pride Parade and Festival in West Hollywood.

Saturday night we have the Grammy Award-winning legends, The Emotions. For the exciting Sunday night closing we have The Motels, featuring Martha Davis.

The Emotions’ reign as one of music’s most versatile R&B groups spans three decades, from humble gospel beginnings in Chicago to their Grammy award winning successes in the 80’s and 90’s, and most recently their appearance on PBS’ Superstars of 70’s Soul Live”.

The Motels, featuring Martha Davis, the iconic 80’s pop band, was formed in the late 70’s in Berkeley, California. With many hits under their belt and their unique sound, this group is sure to be everlasting and an inspiration for years to come. Watch for their summer tour appearing with The GoGos.

“CSW is very proud and honored to have these two diverse headliners. It will be a fabulous way to celebrate pride and unity,” said Gaye Ann Bruno, vice president of design and entertainment chair.

The Saturday show, starting at 3 p.m., will include emcee Carlease; Kontraversi; Alicia Champion; Sh*tting Glitter; Cindy; Tracy Kennedy; disco diva France Joli; Gioia Bruno, formerly of Expose; Thea Austin, formerly of Snap; Simone Denny, the voice of Widelife; hip hop and R&B Diva Adina Howard; American Idol’s Kimberley Locke; the legendary Ms. Cheryl Lynn, and ending with The Emotions.

There will be two shows Sunday. The first, starting at 1:30 p.m., will include emcee Carlease; Jen Foster; Karen Jacobsen; Erin Duncan; Niles Thomas; Constantina; international dance diva Pepper MaShay, and legendary Grammy Award  diva Thelma Houston with a band.

The closing show, starting at 6 p.m., will include Jinx Titanic; Simon Stinger; Karina Nuvo; Jane Cantillon; Sophie B. Hawkins; American Idol’s Tamrya Gray; Martha Wash,  voice of Blackbox, C&C Music Factory and The Weather Girls; Kristine W with her band, and ending with The Motels, featuring Martha Davis.
