Trend Tuesday: Swimwear 2013

By  |

March is in full-swing which means swimsuit season in California! Whether you are looking forward to Coachella or a weekend getaway here are a few of my favorite trends in swimwear for this Spring 2013.

Move over itty bitty bikinis – sexy, feminine one-pieces are making a classy comeback! I’m loving all these retro one pieces like this suit from Target!

Style tip: Pair with shorts or a maxi skirt for a quick summer outfit!

I brought out my animal instincts in a sexy suit from D’Milikah. I recent met their designer at a Grammy event and became a fan. They have great prints with various cut bottoms, like the two I’m modeling above. Bonus: They specialize in D cups for us busty ladies.

Last week Cameron Diaz reminded us she’s still sexy and stylish while showing off her rocking bod in Mexico with Drew & Reese. I love how she combined her Mikoh Swimwear top in Swell Lines with a yellow bottom (similar here from Victoria’s Secret).

Style Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix and match your swimsuits. I love pairing my blue L’Space fringe with zebra bottoms or purple and orange. You can get more use out of all the suits in your closet.

Here are some other trends to consider this season (left to right).

I just love this simple retro inspired bikini from Target. It’s the perfect bandeau with a strap to make it a halter too!

The must have of the season includes a suit from the limited-edition collection from Diane von Furstenberg and ROXY. The 35-piece line, DVFlovesROXY, combines DVF’s signature graphic prints with ROXY’s beloved silhouettes and features playful swimwear, board shorts, rash guards, cover-ups, and beach bags.

Black and white is huge on the street, but rock it at the pool with this chic suit from Juicy Couture.

What suits are you excited to wear this season?
