Thousands of boys and ghouls will descend on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood on Oct. 31 for the annual Halloween Carnaval. The boulevard will close to traffic from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard to make way for the street party.
Revelers in elaborate costumes will compete for the honorary title Queen of the Carnaval. Festivities also include food vendors and live entertainment, in addition to the numerous businesses open along Santa Monica Boulevard.
Admission is free to the event, which officially runs from 6-11 p.m. (although many businesses will stay open later). The city of West Hollywood will suspend permit parking from 5 p.m. Oct. 31 through 6 a.m. Nov. 1. Parking meters will be enforced.
